              Foiled Chatpati Bhindi (Lady Finger) POSTED ON : 6/18/2004
Ingredients

1. 1/2 Kg Bhindi 2. 1 tsp red chilli powder (or upto your taste) 3. 1-2 tsp Mango powder (Aamchur) 4. Salt to taste 5. 4-5 tsp Oil 6. Foil Paper

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the bhindi untill its stickiness has reduced. Let it remain a litlle undercooked and green. 2. Remove the pan and let the bhindi cool off for five minutes. 3. While it cools, heat the oven at 150-180 degrees. 4. Add all the masalas and salt to the bhindi and mix it well. 5. Take some foil paper and put the marinated bhindi in the centre. 6. Fold it well so that it is packed properly from all sides. 7. Now put the foiled package in an oven and tray and let it bake in the oven. 8. After 10 minutes take it out, your bhindi should b ready. (If u think its not ready yet than just give it a couple of more minutes. Tip:- When you are adding the seasoning (masalas) it is always better to mix them in a bit of water. It mixes well in this way.
