Method
Make cake according to directions on packet, spread into greased deep 20cm (8in) round cake tin, bake in
moderate oven 50 minutes, stand 3 minutes, turn on to wire rack to cool.
Place 12 cup Vienna Cream in small basin, add sifted cocoa, mix well; tint remaining Vienna Cream with a few drops green food colouring. Tint 1 cup coconut green, tint 1 tablespoon coconut blue, tint remaining coconut brown. Spread sides and 2.5cm (un) border around top edge of cake with green-tinted Vienna Cream, sprinkle with green-tinted coconut, spread un-covered top of cake with brown-tinted Vienna Cream, sprinkle with brown-tinted coconut.
Make rope with plaited wool, make whip with plaited string, cut small pieces of ribbon for horse blankets to hang on fence. To make wagon wheel, twist one pipecleaner into circle, squeeze ends together, place half a pipecleaner across centre, wrap one end around frame of wheel, cut other end to about 3mm (18in) longer than frame, as shown, twist around frame; make two more spokes the same way. To make horse trough, take piece of tubular licorice Scm (2in) long, cutwith scissors, cut small triangu-lar pieces for ends of trough from an-other small piece of tubular licorice, press firmly on to ends of trough, as shown; fill trough with blue-tinted coconut to represent water. Place fence around top of cake, position cowboy with whip, decorate with plas-tic tree and horse, as shown.
