Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter or margarine , 2 tablespoons maple syrup , 1 large apple -- cored; thinly sliced , 1 firm, ripe pear -- cored; thinly sliced , 1/3 cup raisins or currants , 1/3 cup walnuts or pecans -- chopped , 1 dash ground cinnamon , 1 dash nutmeg , 2 tablespoons water , 2 tablespoons brandy


Method

1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and adjust to taste. , 2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits are tender. , * Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
